Objective
To provide unique interior wall coverings for an expanding medical campus.
Background
Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center commissioned a $700 million renovation to expand life-saving care for patients in Greater Houston. The 17-story tower equips the Texas Medical Center with an additional 1.34 million square feet – bringing the full size of the campus to 3.84 million square feet.
Solution
We installed 6,200 4’ x 10’ Acrovyn sheets throughout the tower for a total of 248,000 square feet of wall coverings.
Result
The bright and colorful Acrovyn by Design wall coverings help make the busiest trauma center in Texas more comfortable for patients receiving treatment for their trauma, critical care, and heart and vascular needs.
The project has added 24 new operating rooms – 3 of which are hybrid – and 186 new patient beds. It is a testament to Memorial Hermann’s commitment to providing excellent outcomes and innovative healthcare in a state-of-the-art space.
