Buckalew Elementary School Posted in: Open Space Design - In 2023, Conroe voters approved a $39 million bond to renovate two elementary schools: Buckalew and Hailey. The bond funded site improvements, classroom additions, and the construction of a dedicated gymnasium. To further support teachers and staff, the district required flexible space for instructional coaching and collaborative learning. Read More
Creekside Elementary School Posted in: Open Space Design - In May 2022, Montgomery County residents approved building the district's seventh elementary school to help address the expected 45% growth in enrollment in the next decade. Covenant House Texas Posted in: Open Space Design - Covenant House Texas has helped young people experiencing homelessness for over 40 years with shelter, food, clothing, education and professional development, and more. The needs of their clients drove the development of a new four-story, 120,000 SF building including elevator smoke containment curtains. Read More
Meow Wolf Radio Tave Posted in: Daylighting - Meow Wolf - self-described as “five exhibitions; one multiverse” - offers immersive art adventures at each of their installations across the United States. The Houston theme offers guests an opportunity to imagine that a radio station has been transported to another dimension, and the design team added tubular daylights to give light to the space without adding thermal load. Mickey Leland International Terminal Posted in: Open Space Design - As part of ongoing efforts to tackle much-needed improvements at IAH, the Houston Airport System updated the original Mickey Leland International Terminal which opened in 1990 and now serves almost 2.5M passengers annually. To maintain the open space design of the new terminal, the City of Houston required fire-rated accordion systems at both ends of the new adjoining corridor. Read More
Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes Posted in: Open Space Design - Grand Living operates dozens of independent care communities across Florida, Iowa, and Texas that allow residents to enjoy resort-style living while ensuring they have access to the care they need.
