Background
MAN Energy Solutions is a premier manufacturer of energy equipment that provides engines powering more than half of the world’s shipping trade. KDW, Ltd. was hired to design and construct the new North America headquarters by combining two facilities in Houston and Deer Park into one.
Solution
Griesenbeck presented multiple daylight analyses to determine the quantity for an efficient layout of the SolaMaster Model 750DS versus traditional skylights. The initial study recommended 46 open ceiling units to fully daylight the interior space, but ultimately 23 units were supplied as supplemental daylighting throughout the workspace.
