The City of Victoria and University of Houston – Victoria (“UHV”) partnered to redesign Ben Wilson Street, the main access road to the expanding campus, to increase walkability and safety while providing an energy-efficient, prominent focal point for the community. The clock tower blends functionality and beauty with the incorporation of Kalwall translucent fiberglass sandwich panels.

The Pit Room
The newest location of The Pit Room – a legendary Houston BBQ restaurant – has a unique outdoor space made both energy efficient and beautiful by Kalwall’s translucent sandwich panel structural skylight system.
Meow Wolf Radio Tave
Meow Wolf – self-described as “five exhibitions; one multiverse” – offers immersive art adventures at each of their installations across the United States. The Houston theme offers guests an opportunity to imagine that a radio station has been transported to another dimension, and the design team added tubular daylights to give light to the space without adding thermal load.
Berry Center
The Richard E. Berry Educational Support Center opened in May 2006 to meet the community’s need for a multi-purpose center. The intent was to provide a center that could host graduations, sporting events, training sessions for students and staff, and food distribution operations. After nearly 20 years of use, the existing skylight needed to be replaced.
Post HTX
The renovation of the former Barbara Jordan Post Office in Houston faced challenges daylighting the southern quadrant due to historical building code restrictions. The solution was dependent on a skylight application to bring natural light to the interior during the day and to light the roof garden at night.
